Hardware manicure - “are you still soaking? do you get a manicure once a week? forget! hardware manicure and its advantages. it actually saves you time! how much does a hardware manicure cost at home?

Good day!

A little background...

I had never even thought about doing something like this before. My natural nails look quite decent, grow back quickly, but are very thin, brittle and exfoliate. It’s just that earlier I spent less time at home, so everything suited me, except that I had to paint with varnish every 3-4 days!

But after giving birth, the nails had to be completely cut off, as I was afraid of damaging the baby, and it was not very convenient for me to do everything with pazuras). They grew well for me, but since I am at home most of the time, I do all the housework, plus a constant mountain of dishes and diapers for the first time, my nails instantly broke, and painting with varnish is generally from the verge of fantasy, the varnish peeled off in same day. The kid grew up, plus the time was approaching the holidays and I decided on gel polish.

For the first time, he lasted 2 weeks with me, after which I easily took it off, so to speak, he tears off his nails. After that, I began to look for another master. I realized that this particular varnish (Shellac), with which the craftswoman works, did not suit me.

Here is my first manicure, photo from the master:

Another girl did me very well, better than the previous one, her work stayed on my nails for 3 weeks, taking into account the fact that I washed dishes every day and did something around the house!!

This is her first work, that's exactly what I wanted)

I found the following design on the Internet, she managed to beautifully repeat it on my long, already grown nails (photo from the master)

After 3 weeks, many of my nails broke, the length was not convenient for me, and I cut everything off. Here's what happened in the end. Simple and tasteful.

But due to the fact that she left my city, I had to look for a new one again! ..

It was hard, because I wanted them to do well and not be expensive (like many). But I was lucky, I am very glad that I got such a good master. The girl at that time was just starting her work, but she did it perfectly, and took only 50 UAH for a cover with any pattern (she draws beautifully) ..

First work at the new one, it is immediately clear that it was not done neatly, but for such a price I was ready to go to her again!

Then I began to explore the expanses of gel polish, which I didn’t know anything about before, I saw a lot of beauty with a liquid stone and I also wanted this miracle on my nails. It looks extremely unusual, elegant and tasteful. I am in love with this job.

In addition, it was summer, it was hot, but how can you not go bright in the summer? My next manicure was already more perfect than the previous one. The girl got her hand! (photo from the master)

And this is 2 weeks later. At that time, I went through 4 weeks with nails with this design.

You can see how the nail has grown

So long .. my long, overgrown nails could not withstand the load of everyday life, so one nail cracked .. I didn’t want to cut the rest and my master advised me to strengthen it biogel . I agreed that she did this with all the nails. At that time (I’m not experienced) I didn’t know what it was .. but the procedure came in handy for me! Now I could easily cut food with a sharp knife, not being afraid that I would cut off a piece of a nail, well, or a finger) I could not do everything neatly with two fingers, but calmly grab everything with my hand, pull on trousers easily .. and everything held on, the nails did not bend under pressure , the varnish did not separate from the biogel and my nail took everything perfectly!

The next design is my nails reinforced with biogel.

I wanted something bright and flashy, but after a week I got tired of the design .. but I went through it as always for 4 weeks! It is convenient for me to do a manicure once a month, since there is no special time to go there often, and finances do not allow.

It was from that moment that my love for strengthening nails with biogel began!

Biogel - this is the material that covers the nails, it has a positive effect on their growth and nail health. As part of the biogel, natural containing: yew tree resin from South Africa, as well as vitamins A and E, which will make your nails whiter and stronger.

Under a layer of soft and plastic biogel, the nail is completely protected from the negative effects of the environment, it becomes stronger and more durable due to the outer seal.

How do I do a manicure with a coating. How is the procedure and how long does it take.

When I come to the procedure, my girl first disinfects her pens, then she gets to work.

  1. Using a special tool, the old gel polish is removed. To do this, this agent is poured onto the cotton wool, it is placed on the nail and wrapped in foil on top. After 10 minutes, you can easily start removing the old material. The product does not burn the skin and does not cause allergies.
  2. Further, the remaining material is carefully sawn off.
  3. They cut off the length of my nail, giving it a shape, gently filing it.
  4. Then the girl proceeds to manicure, where the excess and regrown cuticle is cut off.
  5. Now you can get to work. Nails must be degreased. On the finished clean nails, a thin layer of biogel is applied, which is shaped, distributing over the nail.
  6. Dry under the lamp.
  7. When the necessary layer is ready, the nails are covered with gel polish on top, the design is applied and everything is dried in a lamp. I usually get gel polish on my nails twice. The color becomes bright, saturated and even.

Whole procedure takes two hours my time. Here you need to consider the drawings on the nails too. This is not done quickly. I love watching the process. It brings me pleasure and relaxation. Time flies instantly.

And this is a photo of my next nails with strengthening, manicure, gel polish and pattern. I wanted red. They turned out great! A month passed and not a single stone flew off! (photo from the master)

photo taken by me

After that, I cut the length and made a hit of this year - a cat's eye.

Nails in a month already regrown with a new design.

Again made red) and favorite

And these are the ones that are on me at the moment, also a cat's eye.

a month later

The main advantages of bio gel for nails:

  • it allows the nail plate to “breathe”, which does not lead to its deformation, delamination, brittleness, yellowing;
  • all components of this material are applied directly to the nail, level them, and a perfectly smooth surface is formed on which the varnish fits perfectly;
  • it does not injure the nails, but, on the contrary, cares for them, helps to strengthen and prevent cracks;
  • nails after the procedure with biogel look natural.

At the moment I walk with nails already year making them constantly at the craftswoman every month. I will say that I go for a long time, now every time for 4 weeks it lasts and nothing peels off. Accordingly, I first strengthen my nail with gel, then with varnish on top. I am satisfied with the master and her work, and my beautiful pens. Thanks to this procedure, I was able to grow the length I needed, but every month I cut off the overgrown, as it is not convenient for me with very long ones.

Now the girl began to take more money for the service, she filled her hand, but I feel comfortable with her and every time I leave happy!

I really want to buy myself a lamp and varnishes and try to do it myself, but so far time and budget do not allow)

I didn’t have a rest for a year from biogel and I don’t want to! It is very comfortable, nice and neat. Hands look well-groomed, nails are long and strong.

HAND CARE AT HOME

Special care is not required for nails, as they are reliably protected from environmental factors by biogel. But you should take care of the cuticle, since the rays of the lamp may not have too detrimental effect on it, but it should be moisturized and care will never hurt.

I will share a little secret of what I do so that my hands and nails do not look dry and look more beautiful and young.

What is needed: olive oil.

I usually buy a bottle of oil, which is suitable not only for food, but also for hair, face and hand masks.

I pour a small amount of oil into my palm

and distribute it on the hands, nails, rubbing and massaging for 10 minutes.

This is quite enough to nourish the skin and nails, moisturize the cuticles. During this time, all the vitamins that are in the oil will penetrate well inside, thereby preventing skin aging and making out small wrinkles.

TWhat kind of care should be done at least once a week This will be enough for your body. After the massage, blot excess oil with a towel.

Tenderness with glamor in the studio:

Is it possible to wear gel polish for 3 weeks? And if I go with gel polish for a month?
Or is it better to do it again after two weeks of socks?

Technologists It is not advised to wear gel polish for longer than 2-3 weeks.
No, it's not because gel polish is bad, nails need rest or something else.
All this is nonsense, the reason is different.

I decided to write this post when today I once again freaked out because of my regrown nails.
Overgrown nails are wildly uncomfortable, and they also break easily from any careless movement.

This is what my nails look like after a month of wear.
Not pretty. One nail is cracked and will need to be repaired.

Necessary theory about gel polish wear time

Nails grow - this is the main reason that makes us update our manicure and re-cover them with something.

Look, when you come to the master, the old coating is removed for you, and gel polish is applied to a clean nail. So?

When a master, he should not just apply the base to you first, then the gel polish, and then the top. No, the master forms the architecture of the nail.
The correct architecture allows you to wear gel polish on your nails longer.

There is such a thing as a nail stress zone- this is the place where the nail most often breaks.

When the master forms the correct architecture, the stress zone is closer to the base of the nail. Closer to the cuticle. That is why, you are unlikely to be able to break a nail, on which gel polish was applied yesterday.

As the nail grows, the stress zone shifts from the base to the edge of the nail. The length of the nail also increases. Along with this, the risk of breaking a nail increases.

This time is enough to enjoy a new manicure, brag to colleagues at work, go to the sea, but not enough for the nails to grow back and begin to cause you inconvenience.

How to determine the stress zone of the nail.

How long can you wear gel polish for you.

You have already understood that on average it is desirable to wear a manicure for 2-3 weeks. But still people are different. How to determine how much you can walk with gel polish for you?

There is a simple test that gives a clear answer to this question.

  1. Remove the cover to keep your nails clean. Basically no coverage.
  2. Press on the free edge of the nail so that the part you pressed turns white
  3. The border between the pink and whitened part of the nail will be the same stress zone

As a rule, the stress zone on clean nails is located approximately in the middle of the nail, a little closer to the cuticle. Right up to this very place, you can wear the old coating, and not renew the manicure.

Every day, the stress zone will approach the edge of the nail. As soon as it gets very close (in 2-3 weeks), you will have every chance of getting a crack, or even breaking a nail.

What happens if you wear gel polish for more than three weeks

It all depends on your individual characteristics, and the speed of nail growth. If your nails are not growing very fast, then please. Can you walk with gel polish for at least a month?

About the growth rate of fingernails

In an adult healthy person, the nail plate is updated on average in 2-4 months (someone like it). On the left and right hand, the nails grow at different rates. If you are right-handed, then the nails on your right hand will grow faster. If left-handed, then vice versa. Even on one hand, the growth rate of nails on different fingers will be different. So the nails grow fastest on the middle fingers, and slower on the thumb and little finger.
These differences are so small that we don't notice them visually. But we most often get chips and cracks on those hands, and on those fingers where the nails grow fastest

Problems from wearing gel polish longer than the due date

Yes, it's not very pretty, but it's not the worst.
The main problem, as I said, is the risk of breaking a nail.
Another problem is detachment of regrown nails at the base.

You just got covered. At the base, this same coating is hidden under the cuticle, and everything is hermetically “packed”.
After a week, the edge of the coating at the base of the nail begins to peek out from under the cuticle (the nail grows). Further more. The base, which should have been under the cuticle, moves to the edge of the nail, and begins to peel off a little in this place. Water, dirt, hair, and everything else begins to clog into this “gap”.

For me personally, this is very inconvenient. For example, when I wash my hair, or do my hair, the hair clogs in places of detachment at the base, and it's just terrible. It becomes completely impossible to put yourself in order. Even untying a knot on a grocery bag becomes a problem.

  • After 2-3 weeks, the quality of adhesion of the coating to the nail plate decreases, and air pockets and detachments may appear.
  • Water, dirt, and any muck that gets into the places of detachment of the material can cause the development of pathogenic microflora. A fungus, if you pick it up somewhere, will feel great in such places.

Overgrown nails are not only not beautiful and not convenient - they are also a little more expensive. When I once again forget to sign up for a manicure on time, I consistently have 1-2 cracked nails. These cracks have to be repaired for an additional fee during the next manicure.

So it turns out that an irregular visit to the master entails a number of problems and inconveniences for the owl?

Hyponychia - another reason to update the coating on time

hyponychium
is the skin under our nails. It protects the body from all sorts of infections and viruses when dirt clogs under our nails.

The hyponychium can often "stick" to the underside of the nail plate. If you walk with gel polish for a long time, the nail grows strongly, and pulls this same hyponychium along with it. And this is a piece of living skin for a minute.
The next time you come with overgrown nails for a manicure, and the master starts to remove the length with a file, it will hurt. This is because, together with the nail, the master will cut off this very piece of living skin. And there's nothing you can do about it - just update the coating in time, and not let the hyponychius grow too much.

How to stop walking with gel polish longer than the due date.

As an option, immediately after the next coating with gel polish, immediately sign up for the next session with the master. We masters adore when clients do just that. You know in advance that in two or three weeks you have a planned trip to the manicure master. Personally, I try to contact the client the day before the appointment and remind her that we have a meeting tomorrow. This is exactly what you need. So you will not be able to “oversleep” the moment when you need to update the coverage.

Another option is to set a reminder on your phone. She will remind you of the need to sign up for a manicure every two to three weeks. But this method has a big drawback. There is often a “queue” for good masters. If you call the master in two weeks, hoping to get a manicure tomorrow, there may not be any free places. Then you will have to wait a few days, and walk with regrown nails, and this, as you yourself know, is not very convenient.

Remember:

  • Do not wear gel polish for longer than 2-3 weeks
  • If your nails grow slowly, you can wear your nails longer.
  • Determine the stress zone of your nails to know how long you can wear gel polish without the risk of cracking and chipping.
  • If the nails begin to peel off at the base, break, and the last time you had a manicure was more than a month ago, this is a reason to renew the coating.
  • If you see a hyponychium (a long edge of the skin) on the inside of the nail, run for a manicure.

Working hours. Rational distribution of time, reduction methods.

Having done several manicures, extensions and corrections, we all already have a rough idea of how long this or that service takes. In most cases, you want to cut it, without losing quality, of course. This article presents methods to reduce the time for the procedure.

So, let's start with the fact that you need to accurately determine the average time required for the procedure. For example, let's take the correction "under the varnish", which takes 2.5 hours.
The time of manicure, extensions should always be calculated without taking into account the time for choosing a varnish, varnishing, or design - this is already a separate time.

Of course, immediately reduce the time to one hour will not work. Therefore, we set ourselves the task of reducing the procedure by 30 minutes, taking 15 minutes as an intermediate goal.
Now the hardest part begins. It is necessary not only to determine the time of work, but also to analyze how much each movement specifically takes. When working with a client, look at your watch and see how much time it takes you to lay out, filing, varnishing, etc.

For our example, we make such a simple table:

Total turned out 133 minutes.
The remaining 47 minutes are spent on disinfecting hands, discussing length and shape, spreading napkins, opening jars, possible abstract actions (talking on the phone), etc. In addition, it is quite difficult to guess what the amount of work will be during the correction - there are broken nails or exfoliation. That is why, for example, we took a correction with one broken nail.

Now we carefully look at our result and analyze it. Which step takes the most time?
Usually this is a laying out of material, or sawdust. Of course, in order to learn how to do this quickly and efficiently, you need constant practice and advanced training.
Sawing time can be reduced by using a machine (drill) when working.

But most often the main time is occupied by “extra body movements”. It is very easy to save time on them, and very profitable.
Here are some practical tips:

Try to keep all the necessary materials and tools "at hand" so that they can always be easily taken out and put back if necessary.

Always label jars if you are using single color jars for ease of reference.

On the lids of jars of colored gels and acrylics, make a dot of this material - this way it will be easier for you to find the right color. The same can be done with varnishes.

When communicating with a client, do not stop working, just listen or talk, but do not look at him. When discussing the shape, length, desired design, also keep working. Tell the client to start choosing the design / color of the varnish 5-10 minutes before the end of the procedure.

Also, I want to note, in my opinion, one of the most effective methods of reducing work time is

Participation in the competition

More details about participation in competitions are described in other articles. In this we will consider only the part that directly affects the time of work.

When preparing for the competition, you are simultaneously training to work “for quality” - that is, perform work according to all criteria, and "on time" - to meet the time set by the organizing committee. By constantly working on this, and tracking the time of work, you will soon understand without tables what takes you the most time.
The only thing that is omitted during the competition is opening jars, wiping off a glass of monomer, etc. This is all done in advance, and the model usually helps with this.
That is the huge advantage of participating in the competition. Even if you don't win prizes, you will get a huge experience, and the time and expenses for the competition will soon pay off due to the increase in your professionalism and work time.

How long does it take to do a manicure? Which one is current? What are the types of manicure? You will find answers to these and many other questions in our article.

It is the hands that can tell a lot about a woman. From them you can immediately see how she takes care of herself and how she treats herself. This is important because the attitude of other people primarily depends on your self-esteem.

In the modern world, not only for women, but also for men, it is important that both hands and nails are healthy and beautiful. Only through constant hand care can you achieve good results. In the article we will talk about the main types of nail polishing. You can get a manicure in a beauty salon or on your own.

Women constantly doubt what kind of manicure to do, whether their hands will look better. Each species has pros and cons, its fans and enemies. In order not to doubt the choice and be sure that this is exactly what you need, you should read about each type and choose the one that suits you best.

To make a choice and get a really beautiful manicure, you need to consider a few nuances.

Types of manicure

There are several types of manicure: classic, European, hardware, hot and SPA manicure. But how to distinguish one species from another? In fact, it is not so difficult, because each has its own characteristics:

  • Classic manicure is a fairly common look. Masters in this case remove the cuticle, give the nails a shape. Also, this manicure is also called “wet” due to the fact that during this procedure they often make a bath with warm or moderately hot water.
  • European - this method of manicure is considered one of the most gentle and sparing. For the reason that masters do not use scissors to remove the cuticle.
  • Hardware manicure - this type is somewhat reminiscent of a European one. In this case, do not use scissors either. Cuticles are removed using a special apparatus.
  • Hot manicure - it is performed with the help of special tools that steam out the cuticle, and also help to restore and strengthen nails.
  • SPA manicure - this type consists of two stages: cleansing and moisturizing. The first step is nail preparation and peeling. Then they are moisturized and nourished with special products.

How long does a manicure take

The question is quite relevant, but it cannot be answered unambiguously. Each master or at home, the duration of the procedure varies. In order to roughly understand how much time it will take for a manicure, it is worth studying its technique in more detail (excluding the time spent on covering the nails with gel polish).

The first step is to remove the remnants of the previous manicure, if it was, cut off the cuticle and give the desired shape to the nails, polish the surface with a buff. After that, be sure to treat the nails with an antiseptic and only then degrease them with a special compound. From 30 to 40 minutes - this is about how long a manicure will take. How much do his masters make? An experienced craftsman will take not much less time, on average about half an hour. The procedure will be longer if you want to apply gel polish. If you do a manicure in a beauty salon, then each master takes a certain amount of time. It all depends on his individual speed of work, the power of UV lamps, skills, and the complexity of the pattern. Such a manicure will take as long as shellac is done. By the way, a classic jacket is made longer than a simple plain coating.

So you became aware of how much time to do a manicure and cover with shellac or gel polish. But how could it be so important? After all, beauty requires sacrifice, and no matter how much time it takes to restore it.

Manicure, which is now in fashion

Designers and stylists attach great importance to manicure, they build on past trends and create what will be relevant in the next year or season. It is they who tell us what will be fashionable not only in clothes and hairstyles, but even in such trifles as nail design.

What manicure is in fashion? At the moment, a simple, neat and concise manicure is relevant, suitable for both everyday life and holidays. One-color coating is gaining popularity. But you have to be careful with bright red and black manicure, which is not always suitable for everyday look.

Not one season is complete without a practical and already traditional French and moon manicure. They are always relevant. These two types are well combined with each other and allow you to create original variations.

Colors that are relevant this season

Bright colors are in fashion. This summer, fashion critics suggest using blue, pink, yellow in combination with pastel shades, floral and fruit prints.

But in autumn and winter, preference should be given to a matte finish. Cold shades will be in fashion. Critics also argue that the entire wine color scheme is at the peak of popularity.

When I see ads where it says that a manicure with a coating will take no more than an hour, I have a question, how is this possible? Of course, we all value our time and no one wants to sit in the salon for hours. But in the matter of manicure, it is important not quickly, but qualitatively. After all, everyone wants to carry a manicure for 3-4 weeks.

On average, a manicure with gel polish takes 2 hours. Let's take a look at what these two hours consist of.

Treatment of hands with an antiseptic, removal of the old coating
This step usually takes 20-30 minutes.
If the master quickly removes the old coating, then there is a risk of removing the old gel along with part of the nail, thereby damaging the nail plate. (By the way, in order to save money, some girls remove the coating themselves at home, simply peeling off pieces of gel polish from the nail. The gel polish base forms a strong bond with the nail plate. Such peeling leads to the destruction and thinning of the nails. That is why the removal of the old coating in our salon is free:)

There is also such a thing as a nail stress zone, which, after strengthening with a base, is located near the cuticle. As the nail grows, the stress zone shifts to the edge of the nail, and the risk of breaking the nail increases accordingly. You should also be aware that after 3 weeks of wearing, so-called air pockets may appear and, as a result, detachments.

Treatment
Depending on the complexity, processing takes an average of 40-60 minutes. If the master did the processing for you in 15 minutes, do not expect anything good. Burrs will be your best friends. And if the master was in a hurry and inaccurately worked with the apparatus, then you will see the so-called furrows (oblong dents on the nail).

Coating

At Safina, we have been working with Emi and Luxio brand products since the very beginning. And never had a desire to change it. But even the best materials will not help the stupid master. The master does not just apply gel polish, he forms the architecture of the nail. Proper architecture allows you to wear gel polish longer.
Ideal alignment, a one-color coating under the cuticle, in compliance with all stages, usually takes at least 30 minutes. If you add design to all this, then another 10 minutes can be safely added.
There are times when you can save time. For example, in our salon gel polishes are dried by powerful professional Emi lamps. The drying process is halved.
