When is the Day of Teachers and All Preschool Workers? When is Kindergarten Teacher's Day? Now let's clarify! When is Preschool Worker's Day celebrated?

Everyone knows such a holiday as Teacher's Day. He is highly respected by all those who have already graduated from school and those who are still studying. And the teaching profession is considered respected and very necessary, because thanks to its representatives, we all grow up as educated and socialized people. This includes not only providing knowledge about the world, but also a very important matter - the formation of children's characters.

And the responsibility in this profession is also very great. But for some reason, many people forget that these same duties are honestly and conscientiously performed by representatives of another specialty. We are talking about kindergarten workers. They lay the foundation for a future personality at a very tender age. And, unfortunately, few people know when the Day

Important

The preschool years are an important period in a child's life. And the task of kindergartens is precisely to prepare children for a more “adult” school life. Before the child was admitted, he most often communicated only with his mother and other relatives. And I had a very vague idea of what a team, communication with peers, was. And it is in the kindergarten that they help him get used to a large number of people, discipline, and also teach him communication skills with other children. Therefore, knowing when Kindergarten Teacher Day is very useful, as well as congratulating preschool workers.

Solemn day

And such a holiday exists in the Russian calendar. It is relatively new, having appeared in recent years. When is Kindergarten Teacher's Day celebrated in our country? This date was set to be celebrated on one of the last days of September. Specifically on the 27th. The initiators of this professional holiday were several children's publications that wanted to draw public attention to the problems of preschool education. It was first celebrated in 2004, and although it was not organized at the state level, after a few years it was celebrated in almost all regions and federal districts of the country.

What happens now that Kindergarten Teacher's Day has become an official holiday? In large cities, as well as on TV channels, thematic events, concerts and programs are held. But besides such a respectful gesture, each kindergarten holds its own holidays. Particularly grateful parents even prepare a holiday script for Kindergarten Teacher’s Day with concerts or performances that the students perform for their teachers.

For example, a children's room with decorations, which the parents will make, and the children will show a fairy tale. For example, "Kolobok". Children need to order costumes from a tailor in advance, or each parent will make their own for their child. Also, kids can, for example, show that an excellent ending to such a holiday would be the presentation of flowers. The kids themselves will come up to the teacher and give him a bouquet. Such a congratulation will be very pleasant for employees of preschool institutions, because it proves that their work is bearing fruit.

Kindergarten Teacher's Day: congratulations

But besides this, you can congratulate your dear teachers in another way. Employees of preschool institutions will certainly be pleased to receive a bouquet of flowers from their pupils, and candy, and a bottle of perfume as a gift from their parents. In addition, you can present your dear teacher with a bottle of good wine. A pleasant surprise from the children will be their drawings, in which they will depict both themselves and their teacher.

Remember that any gift should be from a pure heart as gratitude for the teacher’s kindness, patience and gentle, attentive attitude towards children.

It is very difficult to combine all this, but those who really succeed are real educators, professionals in their field.

The teaching profession is considered one of the most necessary and important. But before the child comes to school, the teacher works with him. And this work is no less responsible. Kindergarten is considered the first stage in human development, so it is also necessary to congratulate the employees of this institution. Despite the importance of a teacher’s work in preschool education, Teacher’s Day began to be celebrated quite recently.

Photo from the site riastrela.ru

Since preschool age is considered a very important period in a child’s life, the purpose of such a holiday is to draw attention to workers in this industry. Traditionally, various ceremonial events are held on this day.

A national holiday was established in 2004 and since then Teacher’s Day in Russia has been celebrated annually. The date chosen for it was September 27. Correspondents conducted a survey among different segments of the population and found out that the issue of honoring kindergarten workers has been brewing for a long time.

This idea was warmly supported not only by teachers and authors of programs for preschoolers, but also by parents themselves. Thus, representatives of the public wanted to draw attention to all those who deal with babies, create comfort and coziness for them and put their souls into them.

Story

Three print publications tried to attract people's attention to kindergartens. Their correspondents conducted surveys, analyzed the situation and wrote articles in the media. Journalists represented the following magazines:

  • "Hoop".
  • "Kindergarten from all sides."
  • "Preschool education".

In their opinion, honor and respect should be given not only to teachers, but also to those people who prepare children for school. The idea was warmly supported in society and as a result, in 2004, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on the Day of Teachers and All Preschool Workers.

The date September 27 was chosen for a reason. The first kindergarten for children began its work in St. Petersburg. This event dates back to 1863 and it happened on this September day. As such, preschool education in Russia has developed poorly. This was due to the fact that wealthy nobles believed that they would not have problems raising their children, and they took care of this process themselves. The poor could not afford such institutions; they had to leave their children at home.

Kindergartens began to appear intensively after the 1917 revolution. Such institutions began to receive funding from the state. Children were accepted into kindergartens at the age of 3 and until the age of 5 they could attend them. We worked with the kids to improve their speech skills and perform exercises to develop motor skills. They were taught general disciplines and had lessons that taught them the first sewing skills.

Traditions

It has already become a tradition to honor not only teachers and their assistants, but also all preschool education workers, including nannies, methodologists, caretakers and head teachers. After all, each of them tries to make the children’s stay in kindergarten comfortable. Thanks to their patience and wisdom, the children feel at home in this institution.

The main role in the holiday is given to the children themselves. On Kindergarten Teacher's Day, various celebrations are usually prepared:

  • performances and dramatizations of fairy tales;
  • concerts;
  • matinees;
  • craft exhibitions;
  • poetry and song competitions;
  • master classes on decorating holiday cards.

The guys demonstrate everything that their favorite teachers taught them. And, of course, on this holiday there are words of gratitude to teachers. Parents always join in these congratulations. On Teacher's Day, they take part in concerts and help their kids with exhibitions.

The parent committee is responsible for resolving the issue of gifts. These don’t have to be expensive gifts, the main thing is to show attention to the employees of the child care facility. Options for congratulations may be as follows:

  • bouquets of flowers;
  • sweets in the form of boxes of chocolates or marshmallows;
  • small cakes;
  • sets of stationery;
  • neckerchiefs or scarves;
  • memorable souvenirs.

After the decree was signed by the Russian President, many states supported this idea and officially established such a holiday. For example, in Ukraine since 2008 it has been celebrated on September 27.

In Europe, Teacher's Day coincides with. In Poland the date falls on October 14, and in the Czech Republic on March 28. Spanish teachers accept congratulations on January 29. In the USA there is no fixed date, since their teachers celebrate their professional holiday on Tuesday of the first full week of May.

Teacher's Day 2019 falls on Friday. A children's concert and presentation of gifts to kindergarten workers will be a wonderful end to the work week. Their kindness, attention and teaching skills make every day joyful and happy for kindergarten students.

  • Spain – January 29;
  • Czech Republic – March 28.

History of kindergartens

Kindergarten is the first basic link in the education system, with the exception of parental education. The emergence of preschool institutions is associated with the need to solve the problem of employment of parents of young children. Also, the most important functions of a kindergarten are preparation for school and socialization of the child.

1837 Opening of the first kindergarten in history (Kindergarten) by the German teacher and theorist of preschool education Friedrich Froebel. It was he who coined the term “kindergarten”
1859 Opening of the first kindergarten in the Russian Empire in the city of Helsingfors (modern Helsinki, Finland)
1863 Opening of the first kindergarten on the territory of modern Russia in St. Petersburg. The first Russian orphanages were private institutions, paid and available only to wealthy people
1866 Opening of the first free public kindergarten in St. Petersburg
1866 Opening by Adelaide Semenovna Simonovich of a paid private kindergarten for children of the intelligentsia. Simonovich also published the “Kindergarten” magazine, dedicated to the problems of education and training of children aged 3-6 years.
November 20, 1917, RSFSR Adoption of the official “Declaration on Early Childhood Education”, guaranteeing free education and training for preschool children
1938 Publication of the “Kindergarten Charter” and “Guidelines for Kindergarten Teachers”; documents that defined the tasks of preschool institutions, as well as recommendations for the education of preschool children
1973 Adoption by the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of the “Fundamentals of USSR Legislation on Public Education”

Preschool Worker's Day is a fairly young holiday. This event was created to show gratitude to those who spend all their strength and love on the development of the new generation. Caring for children is an important component of society, so celebrating such a day is necessary both for the educators themselves and for the children and their parents.

13 interesting facts from history

Teacher's Day

1. What is the reason for choosing the date?

The first preschool institution in Russia was opened by the wife of the professor, Sophia Lugebiel, back in 1863 on September 27. More than a dozen years have passed since then, and today the date September 27 is already an official holiday - Teacher's Day.

2. Institution for the little ones

A significant event for the upbringing and education of children was the appearance of nurseries on the territory of modern Russia. Back in 1959, in the USSR it became possible to leave children over 2 months old in the garden. And by the mid-60s, the education program for children was fully formed.

3. Magazines dedicated to the profession

The difficulties of upbringing were discussed in many periodicals. Adelaide Simonovich, the initiator of the opening of one of the first preschool institutions, became the editor of the Kindergarten magazine, which was published in 1863. Its pages revealed many pedagogical problems, methods and practices. And already in 1928 the publication of the monthly “Preschool Education” started.

4. When did they start celebrating Teacher’s Day?

The roots of this event go back to St. Petersburg. It was in this city that Teacher's Day was celebrated for the first time. The memorable date was dedicated to the 140th anniversary of the opening of the first preschool institution in the country. Later, letters were sent to different regions in which they proposed to introduce Preschool Worker Day into the official category. Already in 2004 the event became national.

5. Let's celebrate!

Interestingly, in 2008, one of the capital’s colleges conducted a sociological study. The survey was conducted among preschool teachers. They needed to give their assessment of the need for such a holiday. The survey revealed that 82% of educators recognize the importance of this event. The study was also conducted among people not related to the field of preschool education. Here the indicator of those who were in favor of introducing the holiday was about 67%. This demonstrates the respect that most of society has for an important and complex profession.

6. Traditions of Teacher's Day

Obviously, Teacher's Day is a fairly young holiday. He has not yet had time to enrich himself with special traditions and rituals. Therefore, most preschool institutions use their own imagination and vision of celebration. The only unifying factor is that on this day teachers receive that very gratitude from parents and kids for all the work done, for the effort and love they put in. Particularly pleasing are the poems of one’s own composition, drawings and postcards from children. And of course, flowers, because most of the workers in preschool institutions are ladies.

7. From children to adults

Congratulations from children are considered a very important moment of the celebration. On this day, they often give their second parents handmade cards, flowers or sweets. This simple gesture allows us to instill in the future generation a sense of respect for those who show care and affection to children. However, you should not think that celebrating Teacher’s Day is primarily about gifts. For many kindergarten employees, attention and a simple “thank you” are much more pleasant. The inclusion of imagination and creative congratulations will be very valuable.

8. Who should we congratulate?

Contrary to misconception, this day is not only dedicated to educators. After all, kindergarten is a huge world in which there are many important and complex roles. All preschool employees consider this day their holiday. These are nannies, psychologists, speech therapists, and everyone else who devotes their lives to the development of children. Of course, the teacher plays the main role during this period, but the contribution of other kindergarten employees cannot be underestimated.

9. Holiday for children

Teacher's Day is an excellent occasion to cheer up not only adults, but also children. After all, for kids the reason for celebrating does not matter. The main thing for them is the feeling of something light, bright, cheerful. The festive atmosphere that envelops every kindergarten becomes a real fairy tale for the children!

10. Gifts, songs, dances

The events themselves, as already mentioned, largely depend on the specific institution. They are often accompanied by gifts from parents. Many moms and dads get creative and prepare special surprises for caregivers. They can even rehearse original numbers, read poetry, or organize competitions for their favorite teachers. Such an initiative is always pleasant for the staff of a preschool institution.

11. Gratitude Day

Regardless of the type of congratulation chosen, the main thing that parents put into this gesture is gratitude to the teachers. After all, understanding how much these people do for their children does not always manifest itself in everyday life. This is why the holiday is the best occasion to show respect and a great time to simply say: “Thank you!”

12. Is it celebrated in Ukraine, Belarus,

Kazakhstan?

As in Russia, in Ukraine this day is celebrated on September 27. Here, the celebration of Teacher's Day officially began in 2008. But in Belarus and Kazakhstan this holiday is not established at the state level. Many preschools use the date September 27 unofficially.

13. Attitude to the holiday in other countries

Teacher's Day in many countries is not a separate event. This is due to the fact that abroad this holiday is too closely associated with Teacher’s Day. This means congratulations to all employees in the education sector, from preschool teachers to university teachers.

Teacher's Day is a bright and significant event. It’s great that this holiday has received national status, because this is how society demonstrates its respect for this profession. Over the years, this day will acquire its own traditions, which will become another significant element of culture.
