The role of toastmaster. The role of the toastmaster at the wedding

Philosophical toasts. Toasts for the defense of the dissertation. Toasts to the chiefs. Answer toasts. For longevity. Cool toasts. Housewarming.

The role of the toastmaster in the holiday.

The modern feast is not a silent meal, where everyone just chews, and not a bird market, where everyone is making noise and no one is listening to anyone. This is a truly fun event led and directed by the toastmaster. It not only ensures order at the table, but also gives the event spirituality and beauty. If your guests are pre-configured for fun, if they are cultured and well-mannered, if they know each other well, and most importantly, if their number is small, you can do without a toastmaster. The success of the feast is almost a foregone conclusion. But this is an ideal case, which (like the ideal man) rarely occurs in real life. Usually guests need to be entertained, and the course of the feast itself should be methodically directed. When 15-20 guests come to you, and even more so if there are at least a hundred of them, then you can’t do without a toastmaster. The people have long been convinced that without a coordinator-manager, the feast will not become a true celebration, but will turn into chaos. Some, however, still have the wrong idea about this character. For them, the toastmaster is that annoying gentleman who sits at the head of the table and puffs out his cheeks from importance, without whose command it is impossible to drink or say a word. Others are sure that the toastmaster is an element of a long-obsolete custom, as “necessary” as a wedding general at a corporate party. For them, toasting is a waste of time. Sometimes the most authoritative and witty guest is chosen for the role of toastmaster. Often he himself approves for this position, which the other guests are only happy about. But a cool toastmaster is an inspirer, organizer, initiator, conductor and mass entertainer in one person, in the good sense of the word. Without exaggeration, we can say that the success of the feast depends entirely on it. Today, when choosing a toastmaster, the organizers (hosts) of the upcoming fun can use the services of a professional - it is easy to find him in newspapers and on the Internet. (In Moscow alone, there are already several thousand specialists in this field.) But it is quite possible to entrust the maintenance of the festive table to one of the relatives or friends. Both of these solutions have their pros and cons. It is clear that a professional knows better the intricacies of table etiquette. In his arsenal - specially designed scripts, a lot of toasts, jokes and funny stories. After all, he has experience. However, the new toastmaster also has disadvantages, including very significant ones. It is good if the toastmaster will personally know all the guests. If there are a lot of strangers at the celebration, in this case the toastmaster must gain their trust and establish contact with them. However, not only the toastmaster pronounces toasts. If, however, your person, a relative or a good friend, acts as a toastmaster, his toasts and toasts will sound more cordial, because they will come from the heart. From him least of all you can expect jokes that are unacceptable in this company. In addition, such a toastmaster will not require anything for his services: for him, this role is a high honor, recognition of certain merits. Of course, not everyone is able to be a "head of the clerk". The applicant must have a good reputation and unquestioned authority. It is also desirable that he be endowed with a sense of humor and the ability to impromptu. It's not bad if he has good diction and a loud voice, so that, like an army chief, he can shout down a tipsy company (the microphone has been helping out lately). The invited toastmaster should be friendly and helpful, not allow themselves to be rude and vulgar; not to strive to "feed" the audience with oneself - to show off less, but to think more about each and every one of those present. It is he who, with the help of toasts, parables and life stories, leads the table and creates a cheerful holiday mood. Or it happens that the same joker is not found in the company, ready to take on the functions of toastmaster. How to organize the pronunciation of toasts in this case? For example, with the help of the following simple fun: Guests stand in a circle and open a bottle of champagne. To the music, the bottle is passed in a circle from one guest to another. Suddenly the music stops. The guest, in whose hands the bottle was at that moment, should make a toast. A good toast should be: concise, but not stingy; original, but not eccentric; "politically correct" or tactful. A good toast cannot be: very long, boring, sentimental, overloaded with witticisms. Of course, knowledge of a large number of toasts is of great importance. With some of them that you like more, I would like to introduce you.

Often, young people during the organization of a wedding celebration face the question: who is better to choose - a toastmaster or a leader? And is there a fundamental difference between them? Let's try to figure it out.

What is the difference between a toastmaster and a leader

Tamada is the head of the festival, in a narrower sense - the person who leads the wedding. The toastmaster is elected either by the organizers or the participants of the celebration themselves. He monitors the order of the toasts, organizes and controls the performances of the artists. Is there any difference between a toastmaster and a leader? It would seem that both are engaged in holding holidays. However, if we look deeper, we will understand that they host the event in completely different ways.

So, the toastmaster is well aware of all wedding rites and traditions, he, as a rule, knows the invitees personally, he can afford relaxed and relaxed behavior. Whether it's a host: this is a professional actor, solid and unobtrusive, he certainly keeps a distance during the celebration, he is not familiar with the guests.

However, you need to understand that an uninhibited style is not necessarily cheerful, and formality is not always boring. It is important to look at the professional qualities of a particular person, and for this, be sure to talk to him personally. Approach the choice of the host with all responsibility, because it is he who sets the tone for the holiday, he will be remembered first of all by all participants in the celebration.

Finding a host these days is not a problem - wedding magazines, the World Wide Web, or recommendations from friends and acquaintances who have already celebrated weddings will help you.

  1. What amount do you have? A professional takes the corresponding money for his services, so beware of low prices - most likely, you will have to face unpleasant surprises more than once during the holiday.
  2. Whom to choose as a leader - a man or a woman? The question, of course, is an interesting one, everything here will depend on your own preferences. As experience shows, male presenters are more popular due to their charisma and unsurpassed sense of humor. However, the leading women are very charming and temperamental. The choice is yours.
  3. Write down the main applicants and carefully study the information about them. Check out the leader's website. If you find a fussy background with a prehistoric print there, we recommend that you do not waste your time and move on to the next candidate. A serious person will never save on the design of his site, because this is his face.
  4. Phone the candidates, discuss approximate prices for services and make an appointment. After all, you understand how video and photo materials are uploaded to the Web in our time, so be sure to talk to the potential host of your holiday in person.
  5. Choosing a host is just the case when you need to focus on the first impression. You will immediately see the manner of communication, you will understand whether the person managed to captivate you, win you over, how soon he responds to your wishes, is he not too intrusive. Faced with a misunderstanding, it is better to look for another candidate. On such an important occasion as a wedding, you simply cannot take risks!

What you need to know during the first meeting with the host

  1. How does it work - from call to call, or its temporary resources are limited.
  2. What contests does he usually hold (at least a few options).
  3. Does the presenter know how to get along with children, what games can he captivate them with? Of course, children require a lot of attention, and the program of the holiday is already very rich. Therefore, if more than three kids are present at the wedding, it is better to invite an additional animator.
  4. Perhaps the presenter works together with the DJ and musicians. Be sure to discuss this issue, because a team of professionals guarantees a wonderful holiday without failures and unforeseen situations.
  5. Reserve a day, otherwise, if you delay, it may turn out that a suitable leader in all respects will be busy, and you will have to urgently look for another one. You understand what such emergency searches are fraught with.
  6. Ask about the amount of the advance payment. If, having made an advance payment, you suddenly change your mind, the host will keep the deposit as compensation for losses. Typically, these details are written into the contract.
  7. A responsible presenter always has a portfolio - photos and videos that clearly demonstrate his work. Be sure to review them, this will allow you to form an opinion about his professional qualities.
  8. When talking, pay attention to the following points: clear diction, the ability to express thoughts beautifully and concisely, a presentable appearance, theatrical or other special education is welcome, a self-respecting professional will never impose his services on you.
  9. The host should offer you several options for holding a holiday and, starting from your preferences, create a unique scenario specifically for your wedding, adding his own flavor to it.
  10. If everything suits you, do not hesitate. Good presenters are quickly taken apart, especially during the holiday season. When planning a wedding in the summer, start looking after the host six months in advance!

And the last tip. You want your wedding to be different from others, right? So, be sure to help the host: tell him your love story, interesting biography facts, about your favorite pastime. Provide a guest list with a brief description of each.

If you have original ideas, feel free to pitch them to the facilitator, no matter how crazy they may seem to you. He will certainly tell you the best way to bring your wishes to life. Achieving complete mutual understanding is possible only as a result of joint fruitful work.

He will give a sign - and everyone is busy;
He drinks - everyone drinks and everyone screams;
He laughs - everyone laughs;
He furrows his eyebrows - everyone is silent ...
A. Pushkin. Eugene Onegin

Isn't it true, Pushkin said well ... True, not about the toastmaster. But this is precisely the role of the toastmaster in the modern table celebration - he is the main participant and the main manager!
He is like the conductor of a large orchestra or a multi-voiced choir. If the toastmaster is a true maestro, everything goes like clockwork: order reigns at the table, each soloist (guest) plays his part, no one interrupts anyone, every voice will be heard; everyone is in high spirits, everyone feels like participants in a collective performance.
This book is a guide to the toastmaster how to organize and hold such a feast. And the reason that prompted the people to get together is not important, whether it be a birthday, a wedding or an anniversary, a promotion or a farewell to retirement, sports or other successes, a “red day of the calendar”, an elementary “get-together” or a party. It is important that everyone is waiting for the holiday, and the toastmaster is able to provide it.
The book should help the toastmaster-professional, amateur or "toastmaster for an hour", performing a one-time assignment, turn the feast into a real holiday. I sincerely hope that with the help of my advice, recommendations and examples of feasts, using original toasts, funny jokes, ironic poems, aphorisms, funny pranks, contests and jokes, you will successfully cope with the high role of toastmaster. I also recommend an ordinary guest to look into this book - the kitchen of a modern toastmaster - many of his secrets can be taken into service.

There is nothing better for a man under the sun than to eat, drink and be merry.
Bible. Old Testament

The modern feast is not a silent meal, where everyone just chews, and not a bird market, where everyone is making noise and no one is listening to anyone. Others are sure that the toastmaster is an element of a long-obsolete custom, as "necessary" as a wedding general at a corporate party. For them, even toasts are Caucasian troubles, that is, a waste of time, just like talking in bed!
Firstly, the high cost of his services, and secondly, his poor knowledge of the heroes of the celebration, their relatives and friends (although he can find out a lot if he wants to). He does not know about the nature of the relationship between individual invitees, so he can put one of them in an awkward position (by touching on an unpleasant topic).
If, however, your own person, a relative or a good friend, acts as a toastmaster, his toasts and toasts will sound more cordial, because they will come from the heart.
It’s not bad if he has good diction and a loud voice, so that, like an army commander, he can shout down a tipsy company (recently, a radio microphone helps out). And yet - it is not the gods that burn the pots!
Both the visiting toastmaster and your own (from among relatives or friends) should be friendly and helpful, not allow themselves to be rude and vulgar; not to strive to “feed” the audience with oneself - to show off less, but to think more about each and every one of those present.
Keep a distance and avoid familiarity even in the most intimate atmosphere.

The decoration of any feast and the main "tool" of the toastmaster are, as we know, toasts. They bring an element of spirituality and culture to being at the table itself. Without them, this is nothing more than a dinner in the dining room, when some silently chew, others, breaking into small groups, are talking to each other.
The custom of accompanying a feast with toasts comes from the depths of centuries. Saying them before draining the glasses, we, according to our ancestors, convey our feelings and wishes to the liquid. And the word, as you know, has magical power. It is no coincidence that among the peoples of the Caucasus and Central Asia it is considered unacceptable to drink a glass without saying anything.
With the help of toasts, we can sing a toast to the heroes of the occasion, praise the hostess, pay tribute to the beauty of the girls and women present, and so on. An equally valuable property of toasts is that with their help we can show ourselves: show off wit and erudition, as well as say pathos words that we are embarrassed to pronounce on ordinary days.
Below, in the relevant section (Part 4. "Toasts on the most topical occasions"), there are toasts covering all the main occasions for a feast. Both the toastmaster and each guest will find toasts to their taste. Sometimes, after all, it is worth adding some specifics to ready-made toasts - and they will immediately become relevant and look impromptu. Of course, the main thing in the toast is sincerity and emotionality, but still I recommend everyone, and not just the toastmaster, to look into the fourth part of the book.

It should be said about other elements of the current feast.
Gone are the days when feasts for adults were holidays of gluttony, sometimes, if square meters allowed, diluted with dances. Today, "food debauchery" is no longer in vogue. Products have ceased to be in short supply, and therefore abundant food and drink will no longer surprise or even cheer anyone up. And in general, moderation is good in their use. As for fantasy and fiction, the more of them during the feast, the better.
As the practice of cheerful feasts shows, people who come together not only enjoy wines and snacks, not only make toasts or listen to the toastmaster, but also have fun in other ways: they sing and play various games, hold funny contests and gambling competitions. That is, the cultural and entertainment component becomes an indispensable element of any celebration, be it a birthday or a wedding, an anniversary or a housewarming party, a bachelorette party or just an evening of relaxation.
Games and entertainment decorate the palette of friendly communication, involve guests in the festive action. In addition, they provide food for the mind, develop a creative streak, and encourage the constant expansion of knowledge.
Below, in the relevant section (Part 5. "Board Games and Contests"), a description of such games and entertainment is given. They allow you to test your resourcefulness, erudition and ingenuity.

A festive feast is usually organized on a very specific occasion. Most often it is a birthday, wedding, anniversary, red day of the calendar, and so on. It is clear that the event itself is the main factor in choosing the content and orientation of the feast. It should also be reflected in the theme of toasts, as well as games and entertainment. Of course, at each such event, toasts are also heard in honor of the hosts of the feast, glasses are raised for beautiful women and gallant men, for parents and children, for relatives and friends. And yet, the theme related to the cause of the celebration should be dominant.

Corporate party
A pleasant feature of recent times is the ever-increasing desire of work colleagues to gather at the festive table, to have parties. Their implementation is a clear evidence of the successful activity of each company.
Most often, corporate parties are dedicated to events in the life of the company - the employee's birthday, any achievements in work, the opening of a new branch, the anniversary of the company, etc., or they may not have a reason - everyone just wanted to relax and unwind. Such meetings usually take place at work or in restaurants, but often also in nature: on the shore of a reservoir or in a forest clearing, in a rest home or at a tourist base, which gives employees the opportunity to escape from production problems and breathe clean air. The authorities know that such holidays unite and unite the team, sometimes no less than everyday work. People proudly say later: “This is our company! We are one team!”
At a corporate party, the tasks of the toastmaster are quite specific: to remind the audience about the features of the company, about its capabilities, about the democratic spirit that reigns in the team.
Toasts at such meetings can be as follows:
– for us, for our company;
– for smart, kind and sensitive people working for us;
– for the face of the company – for beautiful women;
– wish success to the company and each employee.
I draw the attention of the toastmasters that at corporate parties people do not so much eat and drink as they have fun with songs, dances, games, contests, competitions. Therefore, it is necessary to focus on the cultural and entertainment program.

Wedding
A wedding is a special holiday, serious and joyful, solemn and cheerful. And usually crowded. The toastmaster must unite and make friends with the most diverse, most of them previously unfamiliar guests.
A wedding is the most important event in a young person's life. Bright, happy moments of this amazing celebration remain in the memory for life. And the toastmaster should show everyone and not let the guests forget that the newlyweds are the main ones at this holiday. After all, it often happens that by the end of the feast, people no longer remember who the bride is ... (It happens even at the commemoration that some guests are so recruited that they are ready to start dancing.)
The toastmaster should draw everyone's attention to the important moments of the wedding celebration, such as: the meeting of the newlyweds, the first dance, etc.
At a wedding celebration, the first toasts are usually:
- for the bride and groom;
- the parents of the bride and groom;
- the happiness of the newlyweds;
- witnesses.
This is followed by orders and wishes to the young. Here is one of them.
There is a fairly effective way to make a marriage strong and happy. The husband and wife each take a sheet of paper, and each individually begins to fill them out. On the left half of the sheet, the wife lists all the virtues of her husband, on the right - everything that she does not like about him. In the same way, the husband fills out his sheet.
Then the husband and wife tear off the right halves of the sheets, carefully glue them together and ... throw them away! And each of the spouses memorizes the left half and repeats it every day.
There is no person about whom there would be something to write on the left half of the page, especially if we are talking about our newlyweds.
I propose to drink for all the good that is in our groom and our bride!

Usually, after the first two or three toasts, an “incident” happens: the guests try the wine, and it is ... bitter! It's impossible to drink it! And everyone starts chanting: “Bitter! Bitterly!" - until the young people kiss.

At the wedding, you can play such a game. A large apple is hung on a thread with matches (or wooden toothpicks) stuck in it. The newlyweds are invited to take them out of the apple one by one and at the same time say a compliment to their soul mate: one match - one affectionate word. It is clear that the words should not be repeated!
Using this example, the toastmaster should convince the young people how extensive their dictionary of complimentary words should be, which are essential for a happy married life.

Birthday, anniversary
Birthday is a favorite holiday since childhood. Tamada needs to try hard to make this day unforgettable, bright, fabulous. So that the expectations of the birthday man come true to the maximum extent and he looks forward to the next such day. So that he can grieve only from the fact that "unfortunately, the birthday is only once a year!".
As for anniversaries, which happen much less often, they need to be made so spectacular that years and decades later there will be something to remember.
It is clear that in the celebration of a birthday or anniversary, the whole emphasis is on the hero of the occasion.
Here the sequence of the first toasts could be as follows:
- for a birthday or hero of the day;
- his parents;
- his wife (the fact that the birthday boy is so good, there is a considerable merit of her!);
- his children;
- comrades and friends.

Almost at every celebration today there are guests who have prepared a musical greeting, someone is going to sing, someone wants to say something important and witty when presenting a gift ... The host should know about this and find time for them to perform.

An important factor that the toastmaster should also take into account is the composition of the participants in the feast, their age, cultural level, professional interests, and so on. It can be students (youth company) or war veterans; a purely male company (bachelor party) or an ordinary mixed one; a bachelor party or a meeting of married couples; people of the same profession (fishermen, scientists, builders, athletes, etc.) or neighbors.
Toasts and jokes that caused laughter in a youth company may seem vulgar and obscene at a meeting of people born in the USSR. Cheerful banter, practical jokes and jokes that go with a bang in a highly intelligent environment, among people with a sense of humor, will not be understood in another company.

I will touch on one more question for which the toastmaster should be ready.
In some companies, where people who do not gather by any means, swearing reigns. At celebrations with the participation of "big" people and among the ministers of muses, the ability to deftly juggle obscene words is considered almost the highest chic.
How should the toastmaster behave in such a situation?
I have not noticed that people who are prone to the frequent use of swearing, as a rule, are deprived of wit and sense of humor. No need to stoop to the level of such an audience and go to the floor. At the same time, one cannot oppose oneself to the collective. You can support the habitual manner of communication for these people by using some ambiguities, using hints, or making stops at the right place.
For example, Igor Shaferan wrote a playful parody of himself, in which there is simply no last word:
Shah of Iran asks:
- Have you not read Shaferan? Khomeini answers:
Didn't read this one...
The effect is achieved by default, a hint of an illegal word.
In one of E. Kazakevich's novels there is such a phrase: "You go to ... - and he named a very popular address in Russia." Readers invariably smile at this place. And if Kazakevich had cited a verbatim swearing expression, then there would be nothing funny about it. And the allusion - even if very transparent - to a phrase that is not customary to pronounce in society, but also widely known, is undoubtedly witty.

Ain und tsvantsikh, fir und zibtsikh, which in ancient Greek means: ladies and gentlemen, let me begin!
Arkady Raikin

Tamada can mark his "official" entry into office by telling one of the stories below.
The traffic cop died. He appeared before God, and He asked him:
- Tell me, my son, did you do good to people?
- Yes, it happened.
- What about evil?
- And it was.
- In that case, here are two roads for you, one - to heaven, the other - to hell. Whichever you choose, you'll be there.
“Can I stay here at the crossroads?”
I remember this story not by accident. Some offer me to sit down with the youth, others send me to the “old people”, and I want to ask everyone: “Can I stay here at the crossroads? Between the one and the other?" I will say more specifically: “Can I be the manager of the feast, well, that is, the toastmaster?!” ... There were no objections, so I proceed to my duties!
I'll start with a well-known story.
A tourist approaches a company of fishermen who are having a meal on the grass.
- Will you eat caviar? he asks.
- We will! they answered in unison.
- Call me when ... you will!
I also fell for this trap. My hosts asked me today if I would drink? I said no, I'm driving. Then, they say, you will be our toastmaster! So I became a master of ceremonies. Let's start our feast, I will talk, and you will drink!
Quite decently, if the owner of the house himself introduces the toastmaster. This is the story for this.
A man walks past a multi-storey building. And suddenly he hears an ominous growing whistle. In horror, he tosses his head and sees: a piano is flying right at him! The man was dumbfounded with fear. But ten centimeters from his head, the piano suddenly freezes in the air. The lid opens, and a cheerful physiognomy appears from the piano:
- Are you scared? Fuck for being scared. Vitek, get up!
When I got up, many people thought with horror that I would lead our company, that today I was a toastmaster. Scared? Fuck for being scared. And I got up only to tell you the good news: our today's feast will be led by the respected Mr. N.!

An experienced toastmaster knows that one should not make long speeches at all, and this is especially contraindicated at the beginning of a feast.
Let's remember the real situation: while the people gather, until finally everyone sits down at the table and the celebration itself begins, as a rule, a lot of time passes. People have time to get hungry, they want to eat and drink. And the toastmaster should meet them halfway - make his first toast very short. For example, he might say:
Friends! I am glad to welcome everyone to this festive table! Let's drink to all the young, healthy and beautiful who came to our celebration!
Or he can bring Ekaterina Furtseva’s favorite toast (we had such a head of the USSR Ministry of Culture):
Let's drink to passion. Passion how you want to drink!
You can remember such a short story.
In the banquet hall there is a discussion of a candidate for the post of president of the company. The confidant of the candidate speaks:
- Gentlemen, I propose to start with the main thing ...
- Correctly! - picks up the people. - Let's drink!
I also suggest starting with the most important thing ... Let's have a drink!
This kind of initial toast is quite appropriate, regardless of the event that prompted the people to gather. Even if this is someone's anniversary or some other grandiose celebration, the toastmaster, pronouncing the first toast, can only mention it, saying that this will be discussed in more detail later.

So the feast began. Now it is important to ensure its smooth and exciting flow. Therefore, in the future it is impossible to make long speeches - it is rather difficult to hold a filled glass for a long time, listening to the next “speaker”. Is it worth putting the guests to such a test? If someone forgets about this, the toastmaster can remember Kozma Prutkov (“If you have a fountain, shut it up; let the fountain rest too”) and tell one of the following stories.
American President Thomas Wilson said: "If you want your memorandum to be read, write it on one page."
To paraphrase his words, I dare say: gentlemen, if you want to be listened to attentively, do not speak for a long time!
The peoples of Bashkiria had an interesting custom. At large tribal gatherings, each speaker made a speech, standing ... on one leg!
It is clear that in this position you will not talk for a long time! This is first. And secondly, when preparing for such a speech, at first you will think hard about what to say.
Caucasian joke.
Georgians are sitting at a huge table, eating and drinking. The toastmaster gets up:
- Gogi, say a toast!
- Let's drink!
- Youngster, Gogi! Harasho said!
After a while, the toastmaster gets up again:
- Gogi, say a toast!
- Let's drink!
- Youngster, Gogi! Soon the host rises again:
– Vano, now you say a toast!
We have gathered at this beautiful table in order to ...
“Uh, darling, it’s not like that. Gogi, say a toast!
- Let's drink!
Moral: don't talk too much!

Of course, the very concepts of "a lot" and "little" depend on many factors. There is such a company where all the participants are entirely lovers of conversation and, moreover, masters of this business. They “want to show their learning” and therefore cannot wait for such an opportunity. In such a company, a chatty toastmaster or guest, even if their speeches are cheerful and witty, will annoy the others. In other cases, if the guests are completely "quiet and stammering", the talkativeness of the toastmaster or another speaker will be perceived as a blessing.

An event like a wedding should be long-awaited and memorable. Therefore, it is worth preparing for it carefully. An important role is played by the outfits of the bride and groom, how the wedding hall, banquet table, holiday program, etc. will be decorated. And the main place, during the banquet part of the wedding, so that everyone remembers this day with a smile, is occupied by the host of the “wedding show program”.

With a role host at the wedding Anton Bely will do a great job. The host, unlike the toastmaster, will skillfully spend the whole evening and introduce the guests to the invited stars so that all those present feel at ease. Tamada simply leads the entertainment part of the celebration, and the host develops the entire program of the event:

  • skillfully hold a celebration;
  • create a non-coercive environment;
  • host a themed evening.

Thanks to a professional, all guests who may not be familiar with each other will feel needed and have an interesting time participating in various competitions.

You can order an original and everywhere successful presenter on the website www.antonbeliy.com. It is he who will ideally cope with the role of the coferance of any celebration, improvising and creating a relaxed atmosphere.

The main role of antitamada

  • a pleasant pastime for all present;
  • rational timing (guests should eat, dance and participate in competitions, and all this in a timely manner);
  • unfamiliar guests should become a friendly company during all stages of the wedding;
  • proper seating of guests, including newlyweds;
  • holding an introductory part before the guests sit down at the tables;
  • preparation of the musical part of the banquet (while the guests are sitting at the table, the music should be calm, not intrusive, and at the same time not boring);

Tamada in the old days

This word came to us from hospitable, sunny Georgia. This country is very generous in feasts, as well as customs. During the feast, the first to speak was “the elder at the feast”. This is where the word "toastmaster" came from.

The head of the feast had to make a feast with dignity, drink in moderation, not gossip, set an example to other people with his behavior. He should not have behaved loftily among the others, but be one of them.

The toastmaster had to be able to make toasts, speeches, create a relaxed and cheerful atmosphere. He could be a smart, worthy, understanding people around.

Tamada in our time

Today, the host of festive events is called a toastmaster. He directs the feast, organizes the work of musicians, photographers, holds competitions. According to the scenario, it gives instructions on what should happen and at what moment.

Tasks of the host at the wedding

The duties of a toastmaster seem simple. But this is only at first glance. It is very difficult to be relaxed and cheerful when so many people are looking at you, expecting a good celebration. Therefore, the toastmaster is most likely a vocation.

The functions of the toastmaster are divided into two groups: organizational and entertainment. This means that the presenter not only entertains guests, but also organizes their leisure time.

Duties of the toastmaster:

Meet the guests before the arrival of the newlyweds.

Solemn meeting of the newlyweds.

An invitation to the table.

Proclamation of toasts, announcements, competitions, music management.

Engaging those present in the wedding fun.

Be able to correct unforeseen situations imperceptibly in time.

In addition, the toastmaster can perform a variety of tasks, such as giving exotic gifts. These include radio-controlled cars, which can be purchased on the website chudomart.ru. There are only the highest quality children's toys.

Toastmaster's task:

The task of the presenter is an entertainment program. He works according to a previously compiled scenario, but he must also be ready for any improvisation. The program usually includes holding various competitions, rituals, dances. The toastmaster must organize the guests so that there is no division into groups according to age, status. Those present should feel at ease and joyful. The task of the presenter is to determine in time when to say a toast, and when to announce a competition or dance. It is advisable to choose toasts that guests could not hear very often.

Toastmaster skill

The task of the toastmaster is the ability to prevent guests from quickly getting drunk. To do this, it is necessary to pronounce toasts in time, involve those present in holding various competitions, invite them to dance.

How your wedding will go depends on the mastery of the toastmaster. And after the guests disperse, the host can breathe freely. The wedding went well.
