How to go through the stages of “Reebok. Become human"? “Become human”: challenge from “Reebok” for the whole world Become human 8 when

Reebok challenges the world with its new "Become Human" communications campaign.

"Become human!" is Reebok's bold challenge to the world to change the way people think about fitness. The brand supports those who are not afraid to step out of their comfort zone and train to the limit in order to realize their maximum potential. This concept is also contained in the brand’s logo itself - the “Delta” sign, the three sides of which symbolize the physical, intellectual and social transformations that occur to us thanks to intensive training.

Reebok's new campaign is all about fitness to the limit. And this is not just physical activity - it is something that allows you to improve your body, become better and stronger. Whether you're taking on the Reebok Spartan Race, setting a new personal best in a CrossFit WOD, or going all out in a Les Mills BODY COMBAT class, pushing yourself to the limit is the way to transform your life, expand your mind, strengthen your spirit, and unlock your potential.

In a video released to support the campaign, titled “Freak Show,” Reebok acknowledges that such a worldview can often not be understood by others. But this is the path for those who are ready to become something more than they ever thought possible by training to the limit.

Ian Martin, vice president of global brand communications at Reebok, is confident: “A new generation of athletes has emerged. These are people just like us, but for them, achievement and recognition are expressed not in awards, but in the knowledge that through fitness they are transforming their lives. We are confident that such athletes will become role models.”

As part of the campaign, a special section of the website reebok.com/bemorehuman has been created, where every fitness enthusiast can determine for himself what it means to “become human” by taking several exciting and unexpected tests and learning about the impact of intense training on brain activity .

"WHAT PERSON ARE YOU"

"TRAIN YOUR BRAIN"

An interactive 3D visualizer clearly demonstrates how various physical exercises affect brain function. This is a scale with different activities, from the easiest - reading a book, to the most intense - racing with obstacles. By moving the cursor from mark to mark, you get a comprehensive answer about which parts and functions of the brain are activated in each case, and the development of which human qualities the selected load contributes to.

"A NEW LOOK AT SELFIES"

Fitness fans looking to change the definition of true beauty have taken on glamor and fake selfies. As part of the “Become Human” campaign, they post themselves in their most exhausted state after training, taking lively and honest photos without embellishment or staged poses. You can support activity on social networks using the hashtag #BREAKYOURSELFIE.

The launch of the new campaign will culminate in an epic fitness event for those who are ready to test their limits and challenge the ordinary. On February 21, 2015 in Moscow, on Poklonnaya Hill, Reebok will hold an outdoor obstacle race. Teams of 6 people over 18 years of age will take part in the competition. To test your strength on the Reebok track, just fill out a form on the website WWW.STANCHELOVEKOM.RF. Registration starts on February 9.

1. What is “Become Human”?

This powerful Reebok project, which brings together a variety of people to participate. These can be professional athletes, amateurs and complete beginners. The main goal of the project is to “Become a Human”, that is, not just to run 5 or some other kilometers at speed, but to learn to work in a team, help each other, test yourself and set ambitious goals. The festival takes place in several cities of Russia, and in the fall a grand finale is held in Moscow for the best of the best.

2. Is this paid?

3. How to participate?

Assemble a team of 6 people (ideally, if there are equal numbers of men and women, but a 4/2 ratio is allowed, otherwise it will be objectively difficult). Register on the site, go to the start line and perform feats. More specifically, this is a 5-7 kilometer section of the route, during which the team faces 6-10 different tests. Go through them, and you already become a person.

4. What kind of tests?

The route and checkpoints are kept secret until the start of the competition. In general terms, these will be tests based on exercises from CrossFit, regular gym classes and maybe a little military training.

5. Are there more specific descriptions?

Officially, no. But in St. Petersburg they opened it especially for the festival free training season in city parks. At these meetings, instructors will teach basic CrossFit exercises, strength training, and yoga. And some of these exercises will be very similar to competitive ones. They promise that information and experience will help you go through the “Become Human” distance without any problems.

6. What if not everyone passes?

According to the rules of the race, if someone from the team cannot complete the task, then the check point is considered failed (and these are penalty points at the finish line). And yet, no one can leave the race, the whole team is removed. This is one of the main principles of the race - to always remain human and help a friend.

7. How to register?

On website. Each participant registers independently, and then the team captain forms the roster in his personal account. IMPORTANT! When you have recruited 6 participants, select the race time. Without this, registration is not considered complete, and you can simply “fly by.” Based on the experience of previous competitions, you need to assemble a team and choose a time as quickly as possible. At the start, you can replace two participants if suddenly someone from the original lineup is unable to run.

8. Do I need to come to the start already prepared?

In fact, before the race, all teams are invited to a general warm-up accompanied by lively music. But if the event starts at 10 am, and your team runs only at 17.00, then you need to arrive at the competition site at least half an hour before the start. This is to go through the final registration procedure and instructions; without it, you simply won’t be allowed on the track.

9. Where will you have to run, on asphalt?

The “Become a Human” race on July 28 in St. Petersburg will take place near Sosnovka Park (Olginsky Pond). We assume that almost the entire route is semi-forest paths with rare sections of asphalt. If the technical details of the race are very important, look for videos and photos from previous starts, because this is already the third one for St. Petersburg!

10. What does the team get at the finish line?

Honor, respect and signature Reeebok medals. The three best teams (who passed all the tests and spent a minimum of time on the race) will receive free participation in the season finale, in the fall, in Moscow.

11. I don’t want/can’t participate, why should I go there then?

For fans, guests of the event and those who are not yet ready to “Become Human” there will be a lot of interesting and FREE things on the festival site. For example, master classes from professional instructors in various areas of fitness, a yoga marathon from yoga adherents, as well as interactive acquaintance with new Les Mills programs. You don’t need to register for this, just come to Sosnovka Park (Olginsky Pond) on July 28. The full class schedule is on the project website.
